SAFETY:  WHEN THE PAVEMENT ENDS.  The best way to handle your bike when you come to the end of a paved road: 1) Don't panic, it leads to tension and poor decisions, 2) See what's ahead, watch for potholes, loose gravel, ruts, debris, 3)Lack of traction compared to paved roads, motorcycle will move-don't over react, gently maneuver your bike.  Braking and jerky movements will lead to loss of traction of the motorcycle. Take your time!! 4) Ease off the front brake & use mostly the rear one, ride at a slower pace than normal and start braking sooner.

TREASURER'S REPORT:  Please see Mike B. if you have any questions

September Birthdays: Margaret (Cookie), Dave P., Roger W.

Congratulations to Bruce Sheriff, winner of the August Challenge Ride.
